How did you discover your talent? What got you started?
I discovered my talent by capturing my friends doing what they loved to do. From Mountain biking on the local trail networks to shredding the slopes of Mt Washington is where I discovered my passion and talent for photography and video. Seeing my friends' reactions to the moments I captured is when I started to slowly get more into my talent.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an athlete! I wasn’t sure what type of athlete since I played several different sports and did a lot of extreme sports too. I just knew athletics would be my direction.

What makes you keep innovating and pushing your craft to new heights? What’s the intrinsic driver or motivation?
I love the process of learning new techniques, finding new places, and meeting new people. I've just always loved the journey and process of documenting my adventures and sharing the land's natural beauty. I love adventure, the outdoors and meeting people along this journey of life. I hope to inspire others, through my work, to get out and explore this beautiful world of ours and create as many memories as possible.
So far, what has been your favourite highlight of your career? An achievement? A collaboration?
Favourite highlights have been seeing my work published in local magazines, finishing 3rd in the Tofino rainforest photography contest, and several collaborations with artists and brands I’ve wanted to work with over the years.
In regards to your craft, where do you want to be in 5 or 10 years?
Next 5 years, I would love to be able to travel the world more and continue to share my journey of life with people. While continuing to craft and master my skills
Switching gears a bit… what do you think about the existing grab-and-go drink options out there? Are people ready for healthier alternatives? or will “Big Sugar” continue to dominate the landscape? (I.e. Energy Drinks, high caffeine, high sugar drinks)
In this fast paced world, most people are too busy to properly consume a meal. Grab and go drink options today feature everything from smoothies to protein, coffee, and energy drinks. I am guilty of this from time to time, so having those options, especially healthier options is great! People are ready for the healthier alternatives! Over the last few years I have noticed consumers are going away from big sugar energy drinks and are looking for healthier on the go options.
How does Wize iced tea fit into your current lifestyle? And why do you choose Wize?
Wize is a great healthy choice for my fast pace on the go days. With so many projects and things on the go, high sugar energy drinks leave me drained and feeling slow. Since I’ve started drinking Wize I don’t get that sugar crash most on the go drinks give you, and I feel refreshed and ready to keep tackling my day.
What are your next projects coming down the pipeline?
I’m working on a few video projects with some fellow mountain bikers on Vancouver Island, and also some personal photo and video projects highlighting the beautiful landscape of the island.
What’s your favourite flavour of Wize? When do you typically drink it?
Mango ice tea is my favourite flavour. I usually drink it on the go during shoots before a bike ride and have slowly been replacing my coffee consumption with Wize!
