How did you discover your talent? What got you started?
I want to change the world, I have since I was very young. My grade 11 creative writing teacher challenged me to write a poem every single day for two years and bring it in for her to grade in my home room class. In that time, I fell in love with writing and telling compelling stories through intricate narratives.
I worked on poetry, short stories, longer pieces such as poetry anthologies and my first novel series. I taught myself how to sing, rap and produce my music. I would religiously go to open mics every week and perform my own songs.
What makes you keep innovating and pushing your craft to new heights? What’s your true motivation?
My true motivation is LOVE, changing the world by distributing love. I am obsessed with uniting people and inventing the future. In a deeply saturated industry and world, innovation is key. I push myself and my team daily in our effort to create the future.
If you could have tea with an idol or figure, who would it be? Why?
Michael Jackson and Walt Disney. I believe that Walt Disney is one of the top creatives of all time and Michael Jackson’s attention to detail was second to none.
So far, what has been your favourite highlight of your career? An achievement? A collaboration?
Meeting my team. Each person is absolutely perfect. These men and women are truly priceless, more than any award or achievement.
In regards to your craft, where do you want to be in 5 years?
I would like to be considered amongst the best songwriter’s of all time. I would like to be creating change and distributing love from the platform we are currently building. I would like to have improved as a creative artist, in my singing, rapping, dancing and writing ability.
Define your idea of ‘living with wizdom’ in the modern world. What is timeless about it?
Living with an open heart, being patient with digesting information and where it comes from, building others up and not tearing anyone down, including yourself.
What’s your favourite flavor of Wize tea? How do you steep or consume it?
My favourite Wize flavor is DEFINITELY mango. I usually let it steep for about 10 minutes because I like it as strong as it can get. Iced is also delicious + refreshing! Perfect for this summer weather.
Mango seems to be really popular, that’s for sure! Where can our audience find out more about you?
